Primary-source first
Regulatory briefings identify and link to the controlling legislation, regulator publication, consultation or decision wherever available.
Editorial standardsAbout + transparency
Compliance Commons is being developed as an independent industry resource for Australia's financial services community, with selected New Zealand coverage.
Purpose
Compliance Commons exists to make material regulatory developments easier to find, understand and apply. It prioritises primary sources, clear status labels and practical significance over volume or commentary for its own sake.
The enduring identity is Compliance Commons: its own publication, navigation, editorial voice and resource library for the broader industry.
Current support
That support includes development, operating infrastructure and the contribution of expertise. Assured Support may also appear as an attributed contributor or as one source within the broader source register.
Compliance Commons is intended to transition to separate ownership once established. Until that transition occurs, the site does not claim that the resource is already legally or operationally independent.
Editorial standards
These principles guide how the resource distinguishes editorial content, primary material and contributions from practitioners or providers.
Regulatory briefings identify and link to the controlling legislation, regulator publication, consultation or decision wherever available.
Proposals, allegations, guidance, final requirements and commentary are described according to their actual legal and regulatory status.
Editorial material focuses on the operational implications of regulatory change and does not direct readers towards a commercial service.
Published material identifies its author or contributing organisation, publication or update date, and a review date where appropriate.
Contributors and their affiliations are identified. Provider material is labelled and inclusion is not presented as an endorsement.
Material is updated when a primary source changes or an error is identified. The most recent review date provides a visible currency signal.
Editorial and commercial separation
Regulatory briefings and practical resources are presented under the Compliance Commons identity. They do not contain Assured Support service promotions or consultation calls to action.
Expert profiles and provider contributions retain clear organisational affiliations so readers can assess the source and any potential interest for themselves. Inclusion in the directory or resource library is not an endorsement.
